Addition Box

Create an addition machine using a scrap box and two disposal glasses with the bottoms cut out. Children will roll two dice and then use the machine to work out the answer by putting pebbles/ balls/ counters through the glasses to add the two numbers together. 
A great hands-on activity to consolidate the concept of simple addition.
